Erin is a certified teacher turned homeschooler. She has a closet full of puppets, a library full of children's books and dreams of publishing her own someday. Her hobbies include singing, writing, dancing (usually by herself), baking, bossing people around and embarrassing her children in public (this is when she dances where other people can see). She posts book reviews, fun learning activities for preschool and elementary aged children, parenting ideas, birthday parties, and ways to bring a bit of silliness into family life.

You can contact her at chickenmommies (at) gmail.com

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is this blog about?

Good question. Over the years it's been a bit of everything, but it is mostly focused on bringing silliness and joy to family life through playful learning activities and family traditions. I also post educational activities for children in the preschool through elementary grades, book recommendations and tips for getting kids to love reading (we love books!), kid friendly food ideas, and parenting advice.

2. Where did the name Chicken Babies come from?

My husband and I have 4 amazingly perfect, polite, intelligent, well-behaved children who would never throw shoes or lick the table.   We call them our chicken babies.  Why?  Well, that's a long story, but it has to do with my husband's thinking chickens are funny and the Cosby Show.
