Happy Children's Book Week 2014!! Surprise Book Giveaway!

I love Children's Books. I just do. And this week makes me happy.

My second favorite job ever was working at a small children's book store in my home town during the summer when I came home from college. The owners encouraged us to read when the store wasn't too busy so that we would know more books to recommend to the customers. I loved when I was able to give a parent a book to give to their child that they ended up loving! That's a lot of love.

And to celebrate children's book week, I want to give you a gift! I'm giving away $20 worth of books. Because I love you too! The winner will tell me what age group (picture books, early readers, chapter books, middle grade, young adult) and what kind of books their children like, and I will send them $20 worth of surprise books. (This contest is only open to those in the continental U.S. for shipping reasons. Thanks!)

"But wait," you think. "What if I already have the books you send me?" Well, that's always a possibility I guess, but I know lots of books and will pick some that are not of the extremely well known variety. And if you do have them you can always regift. (And honestly I may just end up emailing  you a bunch of titles, asking if you have any already, and sending you a surprise from that list.)

Also, if you're looking for fun book related activities, I will be posting some later this week. And be sure to check out my posts from past years:
